Privacy policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains how Silent Mind Bowls LLC ("Silent Mind", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit silentmindsingingbowls.com, buy from us, or contact us. We keep it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us.

At a glance

  • We collect what we need to take your order, deliver it, help you and, if you agree, send you emails.
  • We never sell your name, email or address to anyone for money.
  • Our analytics partners use cookies. Under some US state laws this can count as "selling" or "sharing" data, so you can opt out at any time, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals.
  • You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your information by emailing support@silentmindbowls.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, order details, messages you send us, reviews you write, and your preferences (for example, if you sign up for emails or texts).

Payment information: payments are handled by our payment processors (such as Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay). We do not see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically: when you use our website, we and our partners collect device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, the pages you view and how you arrived at our site. We do this with cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

Information from others: we may receive information from Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, and the sales channels where we list our products (such as Google, the Shop app and AI shopping assistants), when you find or buy our products through them.

We don't ask for sensitive information (such as health, financial-account or government ID details), and we ask you not to send it to us.

2. How we use it

  • To process, ship and track your order, handle returns and refunds, and provide customer support.
  • To prevent fraud and keep our store secure.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To send emails or texts you've agreed to receive. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to texts.
  • To understand how our site is used and improve it.
  • To show relevant ads for our products on other websites and apps, and to measure how well those ads work.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with companies that help us run our business, and only what they need:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout.
  • Payment processors, to take payment and prevent fraud.
  • Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL), to deliver your order.
  • Email and messaging tools (such as Klaviyo), to send emails and texts you've signed up for, and customer-support tools, to answer your messages.
  • Tax and accounting services (such as TaxJar), to calculate and report sales tax.
  • Analytics partners (currently Google Analytics), to understand how our site is used. We do not currently run ads; if that changes, we will update this policy.
  • Reviews (Judge.me), to ask for a review after your order and to show the reviews customers choose to write.
  • Authorities or advisers, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, customers or others.
  • A future owner, if our business is ever sold or merged, under this policy's protections.

4. Cookies, advertising and your choices

We use cookies that are needed for the store to work (such as your cart and checkout), plus analytics cookies. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If you decline analytics cookies, Google Analytics may still receive basic signals without cookies or identifiers, so we can count visits in total. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU and UK), we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.

Opting out of "sale", "sharing" and targeted advertising: you can opt out by emailing support@silentmindbowls.com with the subject "Do not sell or share my information", or by turning on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We treat a GPC signal as an opt-out for that browser. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then not work.

Do Not Track: there is no agreed standard for browser "Do Not Track" signals, so we respond to Global Privacy Control instead.

5. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete your information (we may need to keep some order records for legal or tax reasons);
  • stop sending you marketing; and
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your information and of targeted advertising.

US residents: depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and others), these are legal rights. You can also appeal if we decline a request: reply to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject and we'll review it within 45 days. If you're still unhappy, you can contact your state Attorney General. You may use an authorized agent, and we will never treat you differently for using your rights.

EU, EEA and UK residents: you also have the rights to restrict or object to our use of your information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. We rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (your order), our legal obligations (such as tax records), our legitimate interests (such as preventing fraud and improving our store), and your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies). You can complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email support@silentmindbowls.com. We'll confirm your identity (usually by matching your email and order details) and reply within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the US and other countries. Where the law requires it, they protect transfers with recognized safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

7. How long we keep information

We keep order and payment records for as long as tax and accounting laws require (usually up to 7 years). We keep marketing contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and support messages for as long as they're useful for helping you. After that, we delete or anonymise the information.

8. Children

Our store is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

9. Security

We use reputable providers and sensible safeguards to protect your information, but no method of sending or storing data is completely secure.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we'll tell you clearly before it applies.
