The Mindfulness Lover’s Gift Guide

The Mindfulness Lover’s Gift Guide

Do you love giving gifts? Not just buying presents, but finding the perfect thing you just know your friend/family member/partner/coworker will genuinely appreciate and use? We do, too. That’s why we’ve compiled this list of gifts the mindfulness lover in your life will adore.

A meditation course.

People who love to meditate know there are all types of meditation to try. Why not buy them a spot in an online or in-studio course? Maybe they’ve always been interested in chanting, or loving-kindness meditations. There are many interesting offerings out there that can really change the game for meditators of all experience levels.

Plants.

Plants freshen the air, respond to the sun, and require mindful care. Get your mindfulness lover a small plant for their desk at work, a climbing vine for their kitchen, or a small tree for their patio. Elements of nature are great for getting grounded. They are also an excellent reminder that there is plenty of peace and growth to be enjoyed outside of a loud, busy, concrete-covered daily existence.

Yoga classes.

When committing to mindfulness practice, we sometimes need a little help being held accountable. If the well-intentioned mindfulness aficionado in your life has been making excuses for their jam-packed schedule lately, get them in check. Get them a gift certificate for classes at a local yoga studio. Restorative and yin classes are slow, reflective, and good for a wide range of practitioners.

A charitable donation.

The less you have, the more you are. Some people don’t like having a lot of stuff around, which is why many of these gifts are experience-based and suitable for minimalist lifestyles. Some people might prefer that their special occasion (birthday, holiday, work promotion, engagement) be celebrated by paying it forward. Make a contribution to their favorite cause; there’s no way they won’t be pleased.

A journal.

Lots of mindful people journal frequently. However, that doesn’t mean one journal is enough! As we’ve discussed on the blog before, there are all kinds of journals one can keep. One for dreams, one for morning pages, one for gratitude, and so on. Buy your mindfulness lover a specialty journal so they can enjoy the benefits.

A gift subscription.

There are a lot of great books on mindfulness topics, but unless you ask outright, it can be tough to know what they’ve already read. Instead, purchase them a subscription to a meditation or mindfulness app. These help us time our meditations, give us helpful guidance to further the practice, provide mindful reminders, and introduce us to our favorite meditation tracks. Also, consider a mindfulness-centered magazine. If they like a paperless life, these magazines usually come with digital editions.

Singing bowls.

Singing bowls - there is perhaps no better tool for daily mindfulness. And yes, they happen to be our passion. If you’re getting peace and contentment out of yours, the mindfulness lover in your life surely will, too. Should you want to get them something extra special, order a custom design just for them. It’s a one of a kind gift they’ll treasure forever.

Do you have any awesome, mindful gift ideas? Help your fellow shoppers out and share them in the comments.

  • I have been surfing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found
any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me.

Personally, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet
will be a lot more useful than ever before. I am sure this piece of writing has touched all the internet visitors, its really
really pleasant article on building up new website. Does your website have a
contact page? I’m having a tough time locating
it but, I’d like to send you an e-mail. I’ve got some suggestions
for your blog you might be interested in hearing. Either way, great blog and I look forward to seeing
    it grow over time. http://Newground.com/
